COCKTAILS LIKE YOU’VE NEVER TASTED BEFORE
Here at Nectar Nook we are passionate about integrating local herbs into our drinks, not just as a gimmick, but because we want everyone to benefit from the life-giving phytochemicals that are found so abundantly in wild and organically cultivated herbs. From the unexpected use of blackcurrant leaves as a cooling anti-inflammatory to the more well known elderflower: used as an immune balancer, anti-histamine and mucus membrane tonic - perfect for the hayfever season!
We also love to use herbs in a holistic way, considering the psycho-spiritual connections between man and nature. The wild thyme in our GnT's is reputed to open your inner eye, to help you see the fairies... Perhaps even more so, as we gather it from Glastonbury Tor. The wild grown Self-heal along with the beautiful Damascus Rose in our "Strawberry Scoundrel" may even help you heal a broken heart. Experiment and enjoy and let us know how these mixtures make you feel. We love to hear your feedback. And if you have any herbal questions for Helen, come along to the bar and she'll be happy to have a chat.

FRESHLY CREATED. NATURALLY DELICIOUS.
Nectar Nook's cocktails are lovingly crafted from the best liqueurs and infused with locally grown or foraged herbs. To add extra sweetness we have made our own herbal syrups and shrubs (a type of fruit and balsamic vinegar preparation). Helen's home-make Bitters recipe is a closely guarded secret, a mix of over 20 different bitter and aromatic herbs, designed to make your mouth water and your digestion do it's thing in the most harmonious way!
STRAWBERRY SCOUNDREL
A tantalising blend of self-heal infused vodka and Havana Club Rum. All whizzed up with rose, lemon balm, lemon geranium, rosemary and strawberries.

BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE NECTAR NOOK
Helen Rideout, Medical Herbalist and Katherine Ritchie, event organiser wanted to enjoy tipples to feel good about, so they came up with the idea of creating cocktails made with delicious herbal tinctures, fruits and flowers. The concept behind the bar is to appreciate a drink, whilst still enjoying the benefit of super foods and herbs. Many of the ingredients have been hand picked from the rich and diverse English countryside that they enjoy exploring.
